The only time we were required to sign for a package out where we live was when Verizon shipped our phones. I don't think Newegg requests the shipping company to get a signature. But UPS may know the area and require it?

depends on if signature service was requested or not..if it was just sign the door tag and they will leave it the next day. if you do have to sign and want it that day then you can go to the UPS terminal and pick it up after about 5ish

most residential addresses will never have a sig. service requested. its usually used for businesses.

<-- works for FedEx

I've been buying from newegg since 2002 and back then I always had to sign. Nowadays, they leave my packages on my porch. I think it's stupid since someone can just come by and take it.

If I won't be there for the delivery, I just ask my neighbor to sign for and hold it, until I come by to pick it up.
