what the heck???? am i missing something? i see nothing strange in your screenshot. it all looks normal i can't seem to find the vertical artifacts you are talking about.

if all you want is to turn of shadows than got to the same "appearance" properties and turn off shadows under menus.

maybe someone else can check his screenshot, i'm stumped. its like where's waldo

my gf sees em too (on her own puter at her house, no pointing from me)

look again to the right of the boxes, or look at the front box covering the back one... to the right of the edges of said box and you will see faint gray verticle lines
