Imagine if they did this with 2 GeForce 6800's?

No, I don't think you could have 2 dual gpu 6600's. There isn't a slot for the sli link cable on it.

IT WAS 2 6800gt cards on the same board and yes there is such thing as 2 gpu's on the same board. look at the Voodoo5 5500.

We know it is possible to have 2 cards on the same board... that is what this whole discussion is about; why have two cards when you can have 1 w/two GPU's with more power than 2 seperate cards?
