Default new system crash~~~

I bought a computer.
After hook up everything and want to install window, only i discover that it the mobo cannot detect the SATA HDD. It need to install a SATA raid controller first only it can detect HDD and continue install window. But after installation, i found that the sysyem is not stable. Easy to crash while playing games. such as Sims 2 and Warcraft.
I dont know what happen. Is it really cosz by HDD??? I feel tired already cosz i have been reinstalling window a lots of times.
I tried using seatool to diagnosis my drive but it cant detect. Only can use genetic to test. How come cant detect???

Couple things may be happening, Didi.

First:
1. Make sure you have the latest BIOS for your board.
2. Check if Seagate has their SATA drivers available.
3. Update your video drivers.

Does the instability only happen when you play games?

I would also check to see just what kind of support your motherboard has for SATA. Some chipsets can be flaky with SATA, and some only support SATA as non-boot storage.

If you're having instability issues, unless your hard-drives are making horrible sounds, I would look elsewhere. Seagate drives don't have a reputation of selling DOA, or failing at all, for that matter...
