I'm looking to get a new monitor. Currently I'm using a piece of crap 17" Envision that came free with my PC, so pretty much anything will be an improvment. I go to school for web design/programming and recently I've been doing more and more PC gaming. I'm looking to spend no more then 300 dollars. I've found these three and wanted to get some opinions or suggestions.

I'm also not against LCD's I just couldn't really find anything that was equal or better then these three for the similar price.

WOW!! DUDE!! I'm using an envision 17" monitor and its great. I dont know if you have a CRT or an LCD but the LCD is the best! Never had a problem with it, what's yours?

Go with the crt's, that lcd doesn't look to promising, and it doesn't say anything about the response time. If it is above 16ms it won't be very great for gamming. I have an NEC and it's nice for what you pay.

The Envision I have is just some cheapo model. Its super dark and not to mention its over 2 years old. That LCD is 16ms which is why I'm kinda interested in it. I hear good things about LCD lately, but I can get a CRT with a bigger screen size and better refresh rate for $100+ less then LCD it seems.
