New Monitor

Well the monitor I'm using now sucks its about 10 years old with 800X600 60hz as its max settings. I need a gaming crt, I really don't know what to be looking for, higher resoloutions and hz im guessing? Can someone help me I need some suggestions....

I have a 1997 IIyama. It performs really well. Make sure to take a look at their CRT's. I prefer 17 inch striped pitch.
