New Memory Added

I have a pc think its over 3yrs old 450mhz 64mb ram 17gb hd windows me.
bought 128mb stick of ram today and put it into the motherboard. switched on the computer and it beeped three times, and the screen doesnt display anything.
i then took the new memory out and left the old one still the same
took old one out and put new one in still the same.
old memory was pc100 and new one is pc133
ive three slots thememory could go in and ive tried them all different ways.
computer screen still doesnt light up and dont know whats wrong.

The problem is not with the ram.The cable that connects ur monitor and the display card might have got loosened. Remove the connector,clean it and then connect it again.

yes i agree, i had this problem once when building a computer, it is the motherboard, when you pushed the ram in you must have bent or snapped the board, i got a refund and bought another one, unfortunatly i dont know what to suggest to you, maybe you should completely build a new system

tried the graphics card took it out and cleaned it still made no differece board isnt snapped in two either. would the graphics card have been damaged or what would be the problem?

its not the graphics card , the motherboard is faulty
