new keyboard and mouse

I want to buy a new keyboard and mouse.
I think i need to go for a PS2 one, at the moment i have got a USB based one. my PS2 one is kaput.

Is it true that i wont be able to use my USB based keyboard to get into my BIOS, since USB support would have to be enabled in the BIOS for which i would need to go through a PS2 one

and can you guys recommend a good keyboard ad mouse, about 30-40 dollars?

Depends a lot on your BIOS setup but if you have:

USB legacy/DOS support

- Or similiar sounding option in the BIOS - then enable it.
