New HD monitor help ease

Hey guys.

Lots of questions that i'd really like answering

I'm thinking about getting a new TV soon, hopefully before mW2 and i'm just wondering about whether HD is really worth it.

Is there really that much diference?
What is HDMI?(Got a HDMI cable with my 360Elite but currently play through VGA cause my screen is 4-5 years old and doesnt have any other input)

Also, could you help me find a new screen. my current screen is i think 15" model number TFT1560PSA. AOC 14.5-inch LCD monitor for sale, Inform Notice Board

I'm looking for :-

HDMI input and also VGA input so i can use it for both 360 and my PC. Around 19-24" and also has a speaker OUTPUT so i can connect my current speakers to it for gaming.
Quite cheap, £200 max

Question about the monitor above.

Would it work ok if i had my Elite connected through HDMI to the monitor, and then my external computer speakers connected to the light green speaker output port on the side of the monitor

So please post your help, or any ideas or problems with what i'd like.
