Personally I think SLI is impractical; the mammoth price of two 512mb (gaming) cards is going to outweigh the performance aspect. As Nubius said it'll all fade out like the old 3DFX SLI did, which surely is already on the horizon btw, with dual-core 6600 GT's already lurking out there...

Off topic, but I'm just hoping that AGP 8x will get to see 512mb GeForce 7's, rather than have the extra memory exclusively for PCI-E. Pleeease...

yea i would like to see agp live on my self. why are they trying to bring back pci?

Remember AGP is PCI; a dedicated PCI slot for a GFX adapter, hence 'Accelerated Graphics Port'.
