new forceware driver make my stuff crash

So I got th enew forceware driver from nvidia I'm not sure I got the right thing though I went
Graphics driver-->GeForce and tnt-->windows xp
I have a evga 6600gt this is a geforce whatever right??

Well when windows loads I get a message from the task bar saying sli multi gpu rendering has been disabled because I unstalled my other graphics card??? There has never been an other graphics card. Also when I open windowsmedia player my whole computer crashes

I always get the message about SLI being disabled, its annoying as **** but you just click the little cross and forget about it until you next load your machine.

As to the crashing, try uninstalling the graphics card driver completely (using Driver Cleaner after the uninstall), and then reinstalling the latest nVidia driver cleanly. If it still crashes then rollback to an earlier Forceware driver that worked, and then try out different drivers for your other hardware (motherboard, sound card, etc.) and then try the video driver again.
