Default new dvd+rw drives . . . super fast

i was just surfing the net, when i came across a new BenQ dvd writer that writes at 16x AND write double layer at 4x!

of course, it won't come out until probabaly november or december . . . but i cant wait!

wow thats fast compared to my burner. Mine islike 4x dvd+r, because igot it lke when dvd burners came out.

Too bad 16x is the top speed for optical media (a DVD's 16x, not a CD's 16x) before they lose coherency from the sheer velocity of the spin.

i wonder when the dual layers will become 80 cents a piece instead of 20 bucks?

Intel d865perl, 2.8ghz northwood, antec sonata, wd caviar 20gb, Corsair 512mbx1 for now. 380watt psu, ati 9600, dvdrom cdrw floppy in black too match case

haha probably not for a long time

considering that regular dvds are still more than $1 each for really cheapo ones
