Just completed upgrading my comp for the next gen of online games.

Went from Athlon 1700+
1GB PC2700 Kingston
40GB WD HD
MX-440 4X (piece of garbage)
Asus Mobo cant remember model
500watt Power
Generic Case dunno brand

AMD 64 2800+ @2.23 Mghz Newcastle 512 Cahce

Leadtek FX5700 Ultra 128MB
1GB PC-2700 Kingston
160GB Samsung HD
500watt Power

All i can say is WOW!! and the Mobo, Processor, Vid Card, Hard Drive, Case cost only $515.00 bucks, pretty cheap upgrade and AWESOME performance

nice, but for 2-3 hundred more u could have gotten an nvidia 6800gt. other than that, its all good.

CHEAP was my main concern and from what i've read the 5700 Ultra can keep up until i can get a 6800GT down the road.

Gonna use my old MOBO/Porcessor to build another bot comp so i will put the 5700 Ultra into that and get a 6800GT or maybe 6600GT depends on price...

Oh yeah was gonna ask the pro's if PC-3200 memory is that much better than PC-2700 how much of a difference would i notice?

I have 2700 and everyone wants me to get 3200 but I dont see a huge performance gain in it.

BTW i would rate that comp a B+, a bit above average.
