Default new case question

My new case has the front panel lcd thermometer display, my question is do I place the thermocouple between the cpu die and the heat sink and is it safe? Dont wan tto mess this up so please help.

You place the thermocouple underneath the pins when installing the CPU. This will give you an accurate reading of the core.

Place the thermalcouple wires between the pins underneath the processor as you are installing it, to where the temp sensor is right underneath the core.

thank you, so you dont think the pressure clip will damage the the wires or worse the cpu because i didnt do it yet because i thought maybe it would be hard on the cpu pins but thanks again for the replie i think ill do it tomarrow
