Default New Benq DVD Burner

Just after your thoughts on this Benq DVD Burner (Plextor clone) ... I think I'll be getting this soon if I can find a place that sells them in Australia.. Let me know what you think!

It looks like a new version of the 1620

The 1620 looks well built, however I have a broken one sitting beside me. Won't properly burn DVD's...

NewEgg doesn't carry it.

I have the 1620. It does the job, and does it well. Any new version will just be an improvement on an already good product.

finally got the DW1640 (Black) drive, its pretty good, very quick load times etc. which is the way i like it and although i havnt tested it for very long i can say the burning in general seems to be good.. Best of all it works fine in my (sumwat outdated) p3 700 with 256mb ram which was wat i wasnt fully certain it would work.. but it does so im happy .. yeh so the benq dw1640 is a great dvd burner and i would easily recommend it to anyone who wants the fastest at this point in time and it is of good quality
