I just bought a ATI AIW 9600 pro and I'm using Windows XP . This is my system:
Windows XP Professional SP2
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
Biostar M7NCG 400
Crucial DDR 512MB + 256MB
DirectX 9.0c
I got my driver from here. I installed the CATALYST driver and rebooted, everything looks fine expect for ATI Catalyst Control Center failed to start. It says
I tried two games (Pro Evolution Soccer 4 AND GTA Vice city) and they both had the same problem, that is when it gets to 3D, the screen started to have a lot of noise, and the objects all became angular shapes and ‘fuzzy’ polygons. When I quit the game, my XP has lots of noise on the screen too. I googled around, trying to find some solutions but got no luck. However, lookes like some people in this post has the same problem as i do (e.g. Comment #6, #9). Can anyone please help me solve the problem? Thanks.
