If I get any random PCI network card, will XP automatically detect and install it itself without any extra drivers?

Thanks in advance.

I have this one, I like it, works well, is fast, but DON'T plug a phone cord into it, I made that mistake, and let me tell you, it ruined a LAN party (I fried it), but Newegg was kind enough to replace it for me for free, because it was "Dead on arival" right??? Works the way you want it to with windows, no drivers need. Price jumped up a little too. Look for their other ones, I wish I had, they have 10/100/1000 for about the same price, but I havn't used them, so no guarentees on it working the way I said mine would.

The one thing you expisally want to look at LAN cards is the CPU overhead. Not something that's good if you use up all your CPU in the transfers
