Default need to recover

I have a laptop, and supposedly the MB is burned out. I need to recover some stuff off the HD, and saw a USB cradle on tech TV way back in the day. any body got any clue where I could find one? or got any other suggestions?

all i recommend is googling until you find something.

The only thing you could do is get a computer store to backup the stuff for you on DVD.
