Default !!!need Help -- Video Card Problem -- Need Help!!!

my friend has an Asus V8460 Ultra..its AGP. t worked perfectly on his computer. he gave it to me so i put it in and when i turned on my pc nothing shows on the monitor..

anyone had this problem before..or know what could be the problem?

Reseat the video card and reseat the RAM. Make sure you blow out all the dust in or around the slots

Thats all that I could tell you too, is to reseat things. If that dosent work, then you may have a problem on your hands. Put the card into another computer and see if it works, if it still dosent work in your computer. If that dosent work, there is a better than average chance that there is a problem with the card itself.

ya, check your VGA card is properly seated into the SLOT (this normally is the problem).

i realized it has nothing to do with the pc...one of the components on the card blew..
