need help on SATA HARD DRIVE

i'm having problems with installing winxp on my sata hard drive'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">hard drive</a>

here's my mobo name: ASUS P4C800-E DELUXE

HARD DRIVE: MAXTOR 120GB SATA HDD


i aslo have attached 2pic . take a look at it and see if i've set it right

it was a bit hard to read that, but you need to instal a driver for sata. You have to press f9 (i think it is that) at the start of the installation (when it is at that that blue screen, look at the bottom it will say the right one. you have to instal a driver from a floppy disk.
 
The SATA floppy drivers should have come with your hard drive. And you press F6 when you install it. It's not really dependent on your motherboard but on your hard drive cause I used the SAME drivers on my MSI board as I am on the ASUS I'm using right now, but it's the SAME hard drive. Liz
 
Actually, the drivers are not usually for the hard drive. They're for the SATA chip or card. The hard drives are essentially plug-and-play.
