btw i'm curious as to how you accidentally dropped it?

it was sitting on the corner of my desk, and I was picking it up to put it into an old computer, and I didn't get a good grip, and it slipped and fell... far down onto the floor... I was worried that I had killed it, so I plugged it in, and to my surprise, no more clicking!!!

and it's worked fine since then...

Ahh yes...the Fireball. I used to have two Quantum Fireballs. One was SCSI and the other was IDE. The IDE one is dead, but the SCSI one is still chugging along in my sister's old mac, ten years now.

At least you got yours working
