hi everyone im new here so go easy on me lol, just bought myself a new case got the antec 300, this is my setup

Seagate 7200.10 320GB SATAII/300 8.5ms 7200RPM 16MB Cache

ASUS P5B Socket 775 Core 2 ready P965 chipset onboard audio ATX

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4ghz) Socket 775 FSB1066 4MB Cache

Microsoft OEM Windows XP Home SP2B

Corsair HX Series 620W Modular PSU - ATX12V v2.2 APFC

Antec 300

Corsair (TWIN2X2048-6400) XMS2-6400 2048MB 5-5-5-12 2X240 DIMM Black XMS2 Heat Spreader

BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI PCI-Express

Anyway onto the prob i have, i have 5 case fans installed 2 came with the case and 3 i bought, i also bought a fan controller which can control up to 4 fans. The problem i have is im trying to connect 1 of the fans that came with the case to the fan connecter, the fan has a molex head with 2 wires coming out black & red, the fan connecter uses 3 pin heads so i bought this wire Akasa 3-Pin to 4-Pin Adapter Cable

I connected the molex from the fan to the molex on the extension cable then plugged the 3 pin fan (the end without the pins has 2 wires yellow & black) into the fan connecter and when i started it up it didnt work just have no idea why? have i done something wrong

sorry for sounding silly but i just dont no what i've done lol would be so greatfull for any help

Do the wires into the molex from the fan match up to the wires out of the adapter?
