that does sound pretty unfortunate. linux does sound like a good solution :P maybe try one of the small live-cd distros and see if u have any problems with that. that way u could avoid a clean install of windows only to find out your burner was in fact screwed. that is of course if whatever your trying now doesnt work

Hey Dark_Sniper, I always get that same error when I accidentally try to burn an image that is larger than the disk (4.35Gb). It's caught me a few times and then I get pissed off and then eventually realize I haven't compressed the file. Hopefully thats your problem, make sure the file is small enough to fit on the disk.

yea it is very small to fit in a cd. But also i cant burn music from cd that i bought from itunes store. the burner i guess is dead im going to try and see if theres a warrnety.
