I have a question for anyone that might be able to help. I have a Toshiba Satellite 1800 series (a few years old now). I have moved to Korea and no longer have my desktop. Therefore I purchased an external cd-rw. It is a USB device and works perfectly. However, the Toshiba I have has USB 1 ports. I bought a NEC PCI to USB 2.0 card.

The probelms lies in that whenever I insert the card I get the ode 10 error on the devices. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, manual driver updates and even tried playing in the bios for a DOS bios selection. I did not find this selection, so it was a dead end for me.

If anyone has any idea how to correct this issue, please post or email. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As a side note, in case it matters, there is also a PCI wireless internet card in my other PCI slot. Maybe it has a conflict, but it seems to be workingwithout a problem. Thanks again.
