Default !!!My Motherboard is making a funny sound!!!

have recently (January 2003) brought this new computer and it was working fine and then something happened and the technitions restarted my pc. now It is making funny noises, they said it was nothing and that it would go away but it's getting louder. My bro brought the same pc and you can hardley hear it running yet mine you can here all over the house.

opened up my pc and the loud sound/fan is coming from the one attached to the mother board and which seems to be attached to something (could be the processor thing...Not quite sure lol)
anyone know any solutions???

fter listening more carefully they both sound the same ( are making the nose) someone else suggested they might be spinning to fast..does anyone have any ideas.........Plz help because I need the computer to stay alive.

Make sure that when your case closes that no wires are obstructing the fan's rotation. A good way to do this is to bundle the cables together with a plastic tie.
