there are many ways, mobo manual, looking on your mobo itself but you can always download cpu-z and it tells you

I dont know if this help. I've just build a computer by myself. It's mostly for office use, but see if it help you to not being ripped off.
I bought most of my stuff from Fry's. When they're onsale on Friday. The rest, esp. CPU and MOBO, i bought from www.mwave.com
