Hey guys, just wondering why my main hard drive is labelled ( D: ), as oposed to ( C: ) like it was before I reformatted. I reformatted because I had a virus.
Is it because I forgot to delete the ( C: ) partition, so i reverted to using ( D: )?

Thanks.

Yes.

If you want, you can delete the C: partition and then resize the D: partition, and then change the drive letter. Though sometimes changing the drive letter of the system partition can cause problems. It won't hurt anything to be called D:.

Oh alright thanks again, do you think I should delete the C: partition? This is the one with the virus on.

Hello Pizza,

If you were too I am sure you could format all partitos of your drive and then install windows. That info may not be quite what you're looking for however I am sure that will revert your drive to C: if your willig to reistall windows.

I foud this lik if you're iterested:
