Default My computers Idle temps

Hey, i was just browsing through the site, and searched for temps. I noticed some people where running at much higher temps then me, with slower processors. At idle my computer is 30 celcious consistantly. And its even over clocked to 3.5 ghz. Is it possible my thermometer is off? I do not have any special fans or anything, just the 4500 rpm one that came with it.

4500 RPM is damn FAST. I bet u cannot sleep while ur system is ON

i havent over clocked, using Intel's own fan @ 2600 RPM's in normal and temp is 36-38 in idle. but DEAD SILENT. if i change fan to silent mode, then you cannot hear my system running at 10 ft distance. but it increases temperature to 42 @ idle

my other system with Duron 900Mhz is 2.5 times louder as mine.
