Default My computer can't run 3dmark05 and 3dmark06??

Setup:

MSI 8800gtx
Pentium 4 at 3.2ghz
G.Skill 2GB DDR 800
Corsair 520HX

CPU running at 47C idle to 55C max.

************

When I run 3dmark05, the program freezes when the first animation is loading and then displays this error:

The screen turns all pixelated and colors are distorted.

************

When I run 3dmark06, the program runs fine until it finishes the firefly animation. When it loads the CPU TEST 1, the computer freezes and eventually the screen turns black and I am forced to reboot. When I finish rebooting, windows tells me to report the error and they refer me to this webpage:

http://wer.microsoft.com/responses/R...2f6db299e#here

I've tried reinstalling the latest 8800gtx driver as well as the latest DirectX 9 but nothing has worked so far. Is this the card's problem or a software problem? Any ideas?

re-install drivers, ouse newer drivers or older drivers, some older drivers work more than newer drivers

I simply have to ask this... I just have to..

Why did you buy a GTX, but get a P4?! Can you say bottleneck!!?

You simply could have gotten an GTS and a C2D for the price difference. Would have been much better in the performence department..

LOL, thats a memory and CPU bottleneck both at the same time.

Well his sig says E6750, so maybe he has upgrades coming. I hope so, cause the 8800GTX is probably going "WTF mate, are you serious..., a P4!!??"
