music problem

I have a speaker ( BLASTER inspire 2.1) When I connect it in desktop PC it works fine, But when I connect it in laptop an irritating noise comes even if I don't play any music, When I play the songs, songs plays but with the same irritating noise can anyone help me here pls?

Sounds like a connection problem to me. If it were my laptop, I would open it up and check the main board.

Opening you laptop may void your warrenty and if you don't know what you are doing it could very well screw your laptop up.

Since the speaker works fine in your Desktop PC, the problem lies in your laptop, probably as (a previously mentioned) connection problem. Either the soundcard or mainbord in your laptop is the problem. Maybe you'll have better luck with a different set of speakers.

i had a problem like that and all it was is the line in not beeing muted check if its mute in audio propetties
