Default Multiple ide devices

Does anyone know if it is possible to link more than 2 dvd writers in a chain via ide to allow burning of multiple disks at once. Alternatively can you buy some kind of external housing that will allow you to do this?

yes it is possible to do this but running a dvd burner is very stressful on system resources, so if you plan on doing this make sure you're computer has enough ram.

You can only put 2 in a chain, if you want more you have to use a different IDE channel. Also it won't be simoltanious(sp), IDE doesen't allow for simoltanious read/write head movement, or in this case, writing. It will write one part of the info to one disk and then the other parth to the other disk.
