The AMD X2 and the intels dual core is main stream. (that site isn't loading for me so can't see which one you are talking about.)

I don't know what you were talking about with the heat, 2 cores means it runs hotter, but not overly hot, as to what one might think.

The processors archetecture has changed, but with AMD you can use any 939 board.

Before the multi cores were introduced, engineers were going more towards multi processor systems due to heat. What I was trying to get to was: (1) Will this have less heat than the conventional processor and (2) will it be the new solution against the heat issue?
