Default is the MSI Geforce 5600 Fx 256mb really that good

i had it before, and it said it delivered cinimatic quality, but everytime game cinimatics ran they where pixelated..

anyway i have upgraded since then, to the geforce fx 5950 256mb

and i have the VisionTek Xtasy 9800XT Video Card / 256MB DDR / AGP 8X / TV Out & DVI

for sale...


what are your thoughts on this card ?

The 5600 and the 9600 are total turds. All of the old Geforce 4 Ti cards smoke them. I dont know the reasoning for making those weak things.

other than the gf 4 complete lack of dx 9.0 support? How about the superior framerates on games that aren't 3 years old? I'm glad you got a new card, the 5600 isn't very fast. However, the mid range card do fill an important nitch, as not everyone can afford a 5950 or 9800 xt.

There is no way i would trade frame rate for dx9 support. Its barely noticeable for one thing, and second, the 5600 and 9600 have serious problems with some games. Like terrible performance. I cant bear crappy frame rates and would never trade them for that crappy dx9 support.
