The intellimouse has great precision. Just make sure yer surface is good and your system is up to spec (which is applicable to all optical mice).

And MS's hardware division is great. I've never had a MS mouse or keyboard fail on me.

I usually use Logitech for the mice and Microsoft for the keyboard. They make the best for those two devices
