Default mouse acting funny

Hey guys,

PLs help... mouse acting wierd... pointer gets stuck at a point for moment or two... sometimes on restart... it move at all... its an optical mouse... i can see teh light on it is on... but the pointer just wont move... i can see pointer change to hourglass... no adware/spyware or virus detected...

also... webpages scrolls on its on own... the shortcut menu gets activated suddenly...


i m n my wits end... pls help...

Yeah Clean the thing - and if that doesn't work get a new one.

Try a different usb slot if it is a usb mouse. If you were to put it on a different pc would it do the same thing?

Mouse = cheap? Buy a new one? Get one of those logitec optical mouses. If that doesn't work then try new usb slot.

cheap standard mouses are better from cheap optical mouse.
I don't know usa prices but in Poland good optical mouse ~ +20

Are you using a PS/2 attachment on a USB interface? If so... try taking it off. A friend recently had the same issue!
