Yeah, I don't particularily buy the whole "twice as fast" pitch from nVidia or ATi, they are only twice as fast therotically like you've said. Dudes at XS are basically suggesting a 30-40% increase in performance which is a lot more realistic.

I will say that I do want this thing out sooooon so the 6800GTs will drop in price and I can snag one much cheaper.

I didn't say pipelines or overall speed, talking about pixels rendered, which would necessarily mean 32pipelines even though that technically is feasible...not only that the core if a completel new one especially using .11u technology then it could be quite faster core, but the memory is a whole other thing.

600/1500 could be very likely.
