I just went to new class today, and they have DELL 19 inch LCDs. When I came, resolution was 1024 x 768, and it was BLURRY. And when I switched to 1280 x 1024 it was then all nice and sharp. So basically my question is, do all LCDs show blurry image if resolution is not maximum the monitor supports? If so, why is that? Suprised me.

19-inch ones do because of their larger dot-pitch. 17-inch LCD's have no problem with 1024x768 though because of their smaller dot pitch.

The way a lcd is designed, they unfortunately, only work well at their native resolution....for most 19", thats 1280x1024. Everything I do is at 1280x1024.

i run at 1280*1024 excellent on my 17" monitor also looking to get a nice 20.1" dell 2005FPW for only 370 dollars
