Unhappy Monitors

Does the monitor you have effect the speed of your computer? I just bought a customized computer from Cyber Power and when I started it up and reached the desktop the computer was very very slow and I couldn't even shut it down.

The monitor shouldnt have any effect on the speed of your computer.

sounds like lack of ram, or too many programs on startup
