Monitor Problem

When I start up my computer my lcd monitor (Iiyama Prolite E431s) screen continually goes black and then back to normal when i do stuff on the computer. It is now getting really annoying. Any ideas?

/right click desktop/propertys/screen saver/power/turn monitor off... "never" or "specify time"

also located in /controle panel/power options

what refresh rate are you using?

Either of two problems. My LCD was auto set at a cetain time of not using the computer to "sleep" or shut down. Or, when booting up, the signal will go on and off a few times and the LCD will turn off and on respectively, there is no fix for the second problem that I know of, for the sleep mode, it's under the display settings.
