Monitor is HDCP Ready?

Out of boredom I was reading a review for my monitor which I have had almost two years.

Samsung SyncMaster 940BW: PC HD goes HDCP - Crave at CNET UK

It says it has a HDCP ready DVI port. I am currenty using a DVI cable from my 4830 to the screen however would I benefit from a HDMI to DVI cable as my 4830 does have a HDMI port?

No. DVI is HD itself. So you would go thru the adapter for no reason. Unless you really wanted to convert it from DVI to HDMI. But you wont get anything out of it cause the only real difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI carries sound. Since you cant output sound form your Video Card anyways you really dont gain anything.
