Yes 10 looks to be what 8 should have been. Not a push towards touch focused computing which failed hard. I can't honestly comment on how 10 will handle 4k scaling, but one would assume Microsoft would at least be smart enough to look forward for that.

Except that it still kinda is, since they're introducing Continuum. If it detects touch devices, then it will switch to the more touch-friendly UI and if it detects mouse/keyboard, it will switch to m/kb friendly mode. So it's still a push forward, just not forcing into more of a touch-based UI for both touch & m/kb.

By push I meant force. That to me isn't forcing at all and is what they should have done to begin with.
