Monitor glitches?!?!

when i boot up my comp the startup screen is all different color boxes and glitches and when it gets to the windows boot up the screen it is all glitched and there are a lot of black and gray boxes. initially the boxes only appeared on the startup screen with gray and black boxes but got worse and worse... anyone have suggestions?

Got the Latest ATI Radeon 9600 XT Drivers installed?

Does it happen with another pc? I'd suspect the monitor itself or even the card. The easiest thing to do is try to reinstall the drivers for your video and go from there.
