Default monitor

What is a really nice monitor for games? It doens't need to be a flat screen and the cheaper the better haha. Also I have another question, but it doesn't have to do with the monitor. If I buy an OEM cpu what else will I need to buy and how much will that be?

I think I might go for 19" but which model exactly do you recommend? I mean i dont want one of the flat monitors... It can have a flat screen. Should I go for CRT? sorry don't know that much about this haha i probably sound stupid.
