Default Mobo/Proc combo?

looking on building a new rig. Need a good mobo/processor combo for under 500. AMD defineately, no intel. save me your soapbox on why intel is better. Athlon 64 proc and mobo, what is the best for under 500. thanks

what are you talking about, Intel is better. just kidding.

But why dont you just go over to newegg.com and look some stuff up.
They have some pretty good deals on mobo/cpu bundles.

how about telling us $500 in what currency for a start. depends on how nasty you will go for the rest of the parts. id get a neo4 board and 3500+ cpu
