mobo advise

I have an ECS l7s7a2 mobo with an AMD 2500+ barton, and have been having problems with my system hanging on me, someone said it was the ram so I switched it out for kingston. The longer I use the computer (hotter it gets the slower and the more it has a tendency to hang) can anyone recomend a good/decent mobo for this build, I am on a budget and do not want to overspend (best bang for the buck). I was thinking of getting it from newegg but if anyone knows of a better place please let me know. Any advise is appreciated

thats just a short list of mobos available to you, very reliable and best bang for the buck. I would not venture outside of asus/abit though.

My pick out of those would be A7N8X-X, simply because of its out standing features plus its very cheap.
(also i dont venture away from nividan chipsets)

i also agree ASUS is a good board. I have the VIA chipset and I have heard a lot of things about the Nforce/Nvidia being much better. Get the Nvidia based board. I also heard that both Gigabyte and MSI were good boards.

yes, just make sure it is NOT A VIA CHIPSET. lol my via sucks. the audio really sucks( compared to an nforce) plus, nforce have alot more features.

my friend has a Gigabyte 7NNXP and it's great; easy overclocking, dual BIOS (one to roll back on if you kill one) and good quality onboard sound, almost as good as Audigy 2 SC's
