mobo for 2000-01 hp pavilion 7940 help

I got this hp from my gma, and i need to get a new mobo for it, maybe somethin with a lot more kick. the only problem is i dont know what brand or type the mobo is. all i do kno is that it is a pen 3 ~ 1.0 ghz, 512 mb ram max, 3 pci, 2 usb, 2 serial and its got a built in graphics card. now i have some plans to upgrade, but i like the case, and dont wanna get rid of it. if it helps(i kno it will) its either a 2000 or 2001 Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 7940(us/can). does anybody have one of these, know the mobo, or can find it out? ive tried about 15 diff progs for it, but all of them cant recognise it.
