you should be able to boot from your original installation just by editing the boot.ini but if you want to stay with the new installation you can

well now i got a new xp running.... i gues theres either 2 instances of xp running or the one i just installed over wrote the old version... what i want to know is how to fix the old problem... and get rid of the new xp. Is there any way of getting the previous outlook express users back?

when I reinstalled i think it over wrote the registry?(not sure) But all the drivers and .dll's for the programs are gone so what ever programs that are still on the hard drive are useless. Now that i kinda got it working would it be good to back up my important files and just reformat seeing that everything is screwed up this much? or if thats not a good idea... how can i uninstall the previous verison of windows?
