Default MiniDisc Drive?

I have a Minidisc player, and the one thign I hate about it is hooking it up to my computer and synching it and all that. Does anyone know if a drive exists that I can put into my computer and I can put my minidisc into that and treat it as a regular floppy drive? I'm just looking to place music on the minidisc, not vice versa. I have seen them, so I know they exist, but I havent seen them for seperate purchase.

You mean like the Hitachi Hard Disks in Ipods? I don't know if they sell them seperately... let me go find my WIRED magazine.

Sorry to say but software for that kind of stuff is hard to come by. Minidisk players are on their way out.
