Interesting how this thread slipped through the cracks...
The speed gain does look impressive, but RAMBUS has always been way ahead of their time, and they don't know how to properly excecute their technologies. Just look at RDRAM, it rivals todays memory and was introduced back during the SDRAM era, but it never took off because it was ridiculously expensive, and they never extended their platforms.
This is a good innovation, but I personally feel it's going to crash and burn unless RAMBUS pulls a 180.
