Default HP LaserJet Printer memory upgrade question

I would like to buy a Memory chip for the inside HP LaserJet 1200 series Printer. There is a little confusion about what kind of ram module fits inside. I did the research and I found that it takes a 8 MB, DIMM 100-pin, SDRAM chip.

Do you think ANY 100-pin, SDRAM chip would work or does it need to be the exact model number that HP says it should be?
